Carl Hyndman

Founder & Director

Carl Hyndman is the founder and director of VIP Transport Management Consultancy Ltd (VIP TMC), one of the UK’s leading transport compliance specialists. With over 15 years’ experience in the road transport industry, Carl has built a reputation as a trusted authority on operator licensing, regulatory compliance, and professional driver and manager training by both operators and the Traffic Commissioners.

Carl holds Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT), alongside an International Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage, a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification, and a PTLLS Level 4 teaching qualification. He is a former approved external auditor and trainer for the Freight Transport Association (now Logistics UK), a background that underpins his practical, results-driven approach to compliance consultancy.

Founded in 2010 and incorporated in 2013, VIP TMC operates from a dedicated training centre in Harrietsham, Kent, and serves fleet operators across the United Kingdom. Under Carl’s leadership, the business has achieved official status as a DVSA Earned Recognition audit provider, a JAUPT-approved Driver CPC training centre, and a CILT-accredited Transport Manager CPC exam centre — credentials that make VIP TMC one of a small number of organisations in the UK to offer a truly end-to-end compliance solution under one roof.

Carl specialises in compliance auditing, public inquiry representation, operator licence applications and variations, tachograph analysis, and Transport Manager CPC training, where VIP TMC maintains an exceptional first-time pass rate. His clients range from small owner-operated fleets to large distribution networks, many of whom seek his guidance when facing DVSA scrutiny, Traffic Commissioner proceedings, or the demands of FORS and Earned Recognition accreditation.

Transport Compliance Apprentice

George is at VIP Transport Management Consultancy Ltd as our Transport Compliance Apprentice with a genuine passion for developing a career within the transport industry.

As part of the family behind the business, George is gaining hands-on experience across a broad range of our services, including tachograph customer service, tachograph analysis, Transport Manager CPC, compliance auditing, and transport operations support. He brings enthusiasm and a real commitment to building his skills over time.

George is an exciting part of our team and a reflection of our commitment to developing the next generation of transport compliance professionals.

Samantha Roberts

Administrator

With over 20 years of experience in customer service and administration, Samantha is a highly organised and dependable professional who plays a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the business. As Administrator at VIPTMC, Samantha oversees all aspects of training bookings and coordination, ensuring clients receive an efficient and seamless experience from enquiry through to completion.

Alongside managing office administration tasks, Samantha is responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, supporting both clients and colleagues, and delivering a consistently high standard of customer care. Samantha’s strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach have helped build lasting client relationships and contribute to the continued success of the organisation.
